With latest Sustainability Report, Energy Infrastructure Partners shows continued progress in capacity and production

Total installed capacity in our portfolio in 2024 reached nearly 19.4 gigawatts, with the increase solely driven by the buildout of renewable energy assets

Spanning Generations: Presenting our Sustainability Report for 2024

Over the years Energy Infrastructure Partners has grown larger and increasingly international, but our mission has remained the same: “We invest in energy infrastructure for decades to create exceptional value for our clients and partners.”

Our portfolios include renewable energy power plants, power grids and distribution networks, and storage solutions that increase the flexibility of the system as a whole. Putting our investors’ capital to work in these projects and managing them diligently is our way of contributing to a more sustainable and secure energy future. These contributions have become increasingly tangible across our history and now in our third annual Sustainability Report.

Inside the report we share that total installed capacity in our portfolio in 2024 reached nearly 19.4 gigawatts, with the increase solely driven by the buildout of renewable energy assets. The total energy generated by our assets exceeded 40 terawatt hours, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 11 million households in the European Union.

As we publish the latest report in 2025, we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the construction of Grande Dixence, a hydropower plant with one of the highest dam walls in the world and also an excellent example of resilient and low-carbon energy infrastructure together with our Swiss portfolio company Alpiq. To this day, the pumped-storage hydropower plant in the Swiss mountains is essential in powering Swiss homes and balancing power grids.

EIP collaborates and engages with portfolio companies with the aim of achieving continuous improvement in sustainability performance and practices, enhancing risk management and, where possible, adding value. This is done through meetings, on-site visits, and direct representation in the companies’ governance structures.
