- Sale of Slovakia’s largest operational solar portfolio follows value-creation campaign to strategically invest across group of 32 operating sites
ZURICH, October 28, 2025 — Energy Infrastructure Partners AG (EIP), a leading energy infrastructure investor focused on the megatrends of decarbonization, digitalization and security, and ContourGlobal, an international power producer with more than 5.5 gigawatts of installed capacity, currently evolving into a predominantly renewable company, have successfully completed the sale of the largest operational portfolio of photovoltaic power plants in Slovakia.
Held through EIP-managed funds alongside KKR’s ContourGlobal, EIP’s industrial partner,the assets represent Slovakia’s largest operational solar portfolio with 32 operating sites strategically distributed across the country and a total capacity of 34.6 megawatts. The transaction reflects ContourGlobal’s ongoing portfolio optimization strategy to reinforce renewable growth in its core geographies.
During the holding period, EIP (with 49% ownership) and ContourGlobal (51%) increased the value of the group through proactive adaptation to evolving Slovakian government regulations, including changes to feed-in tariff and grid-access fees, while pursuing operational excellence across all sites. EIP and ContourGlobal are selling to Enery, a leading independent green power producer in Central and Eastern Europe, which will continue to operate and develop the assets to support Slovakia’s energy transition.
